Week Two
Students continued to enjoy "Beach Grandy!"
Students learned about a variety of ocean animals including crabs, fish, sharks, dolphins, whales and more!
Literature and reading centers were planned on the theme of the beach while focusing on your child's learning.
Teachers continued to individualize instruction based on your child's reading level. They also progress monitored to ensure your child avoids the academic "summer slide."
Another progress reports will be sent home on the last day of camp. Students worked on technology programs including Reading Eggs and Moby Max. They also researched the ocean animals to learn more about them.
Students created snacks to reinforce reading through recipes. Studying the water cycle incorporated the making of ice cream. Students followed reading and oral directions to make keepsake handprints out of sand and tie-dye towels.
